Life is a gift...Celebrate

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great start of the new year. It's been many years since I've created a layout, so what better way to start off my year than to create a "mixed media" layout. I love to follow many challenge blogs, as they can give so much inspiration and many creative ideas on what one can do to start off the next project. I have always worked best when challenged, be it home life, work life or just creating in general, for me challenges are a great way to expand my creativity in many diverse ways.

I absolutely love the freshness of a new snowfall, the scenery is always so beautiful. While going for a nice walk around the neighborhood, I couldn't help but stop to take this lovely photo of my husband and our most adorable pup "Dallas". What better way to celebrate...than to celebrate life with those we love and the wondrous beauty of Mother Nature.

Enjoy...

Snowflake Tag/Ornament and Giveaway

Hello everyone, time for a project share and a double giveaway. I had mentioned that I wanted to do a giveaway before Christmas, cutting it close but here we are! :)  In the meantime, I am happy to say I have since reached just over 1000 subscribers on YouTube, so what better way to celebrate than to do a double giveaway. To enter the giveaway, all you will need is to be a subscriber of my YouTube channel, like and comment...the winners will be chosen at random and announced sometime in late January, good luck!!!

Meanwhile, I've been mad crazy trying to get so much done before heading out to visit my oldest son, who is so hosting his first Christmas Dinner, so happy and excited to say the least...the fact the I had time to make this post was a miracle, lol. With that said, he wants to start a little tradition, for every year he hosts a Christmas dinner, he wants me to make him a new ornament for his tree. Such a wonderful idea.

Well I thought it would be nice to add a bit of a twist. I wanted to make it more personal by creating the ornament as a chipboard tag first and attaching it to his gift with our sentiment on the back, which in turn he can use the tag as the ornament for his tree. The chipboard "mdf" is from a small circle mini album that I haven't used in forever... it's light, yet sturdy enough to last through time.

Enjoy...

Cardz TV "Anything Goes" Blog Hop

Welcome to our Cardz TV "Anything Goes" Blog Hop. I'm so glad you could join us today, we have some awesome projects lined up with lots of inspiration from our 3D Design Team. Can't have a blog hop without some blog candy...so some of our girls will be giving away blog candy.

Mary will be giving 3 sets of Cardz TV Stamps for her blog candy, so if you’re a follower of Cardz TV, just leave a comment on her blog.

I will be giving away 2 sets of Cardz TV Stamps of your choice! You must be a follower of my blog and leave a comment below for a chance to win... WINNER will be announced on Wednesday!

I am saddened to say that after much consideration I have decided to resign as design team member for Cardz TV. I'm truly honored to have been part of this team, the design team girls are super talented and super sweet and Mary has been so supportive, caring and just a wonderful friend to have over the years. I will miss being part of the team, but I will still continue to enjoy seeing all of their creative talents!!!

Now onto my project... I decided to make the A2 size "magazine" holder with a base. I have made some of these previously, but I like that this one has a base to hold all 4 together, which I used 1 for each season. The svg file is from the Silhouette store design# 123191. I do plan to make another one for birthdays, thank you, moments and just because.

The Cardz TV Stamps used...
"Fun in the Sun", "Thankful for You", "Snow Day" and "Merry Everything", the "Think Spring" is (Retired).

Enjoy...

Below is a list of all the stops in today's "Anything Goes" Blog Hop. If you get lost, just come back here to check the list and find your way again... so sit back and have some fun!

Blog Hop Line up:

You are here - Maria
Go here next - Rhonda Z

Thank you for hopping with us today…we hope you had fun!

"Friends Make the Best Presents" Gift Bag

Howdy, I'm here today to share my next DT project for Cardz TV Gallery. For this project I made a Christmas gift bag and used Cardz TV Stamps "Home For Christmas".

I love to watch the snowfall, it's just so beautiful and cozy, I just had to share it by using it as my back drop for my project. I made a nice huge snowflake for the center of the bag with some Tim Holtz dies and added a little jar with fake fluffy snow which hangs from a blue metallic ball chain...see the video below!

I had so much fun putting this together and I can't wait to give it to a special friend.

Enjoy...

Happy Crafting!!!
