By The Sea - Lighthouse Frame

Hello creative friends, happy to share another DT project for Art Anthology. For today's project I made a mixed media, somewhat altered lighthouse frame. I decided not to add a photo yet (needing one that's just right), instead I removed the glass piece and replaced it with pattern paper and a wooden sentiment, I saved the glass piece for when I add the photo later.

I used a combination of Art Anthology Colorations color sprays, Velvet and Sorbet dimensional mediums and some Stone Effects. Please visit the Art Anthology blog for more creative and inspirational ideas...there you will also find links to Pinterest and YouTube. Also, you can join us on Facebook "Art Anthology Adventures In Art", where you can share your ideas and beautiful works of art. Hope to see you there!

Below you will find a step by step tutorial, along with a list of supplies.

Enjoy...

Abandon Me ATC's

Hi there, happy to be back with another project for my DT post for Cardz TV Gallery. I decided I wanted to make some Artist Trading Cards using Cardz TV stamps. I wanted to show how you can take Mary's stamps and pretty much make them work for any kind of project you might want to make, beyond your usual cards and paper projects.

For those of you who don't know, an artist trading card measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/5 and you can create anything you want on them. They are called artist trading cards, because they are meant to be traded with another artist's cards.

I used a lot of mixed mediums to create the textures on the background of the cards and the die cuts, like the butterfly, seahorse and so on. I did join a challenge which was to make 5 of these and then Abandon them in 5 different locations, taking pictures of where I left them... something new to me, but thought it would be fun to do.

All and all, I had a great time making these and I especially loved to show how versatile Cardz TV stamps can be!

Enjoy...

Here is where I abandoned them...
