Life is a gift...Celebrate

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great start of the new year. It's been many years since I've created a layout, so what better way to start off my year than to create a "mixed media" layout. I love to follow many challenge blogs, as they can give so much inspiration and many creative ideas on what one can do to start off the next project. I have always worked best when challenged, be it home life, work life or just creating in general, for me challenges are a great way to expand my creativity in many diverse ways.

I absolutely love the freshness of a new snowfall, the scenery is always so beautiful. While going for a nice walk around the neighborhood, I couldn't help but stop to take this lovely photo of my husband and our most adorable pup "Dallas". What better way to celebrate...than to celebrate life with those we love and the wondrous beauty of Mother Nature.

Pretty In Pink

Hey there, today I want to share a project that I made for some wall d├ęcor, it's an 8x8 Vintage Shabby Chic Layout. I made this for my friend Stacy, we joined in on Easter swap together for the Chic Craftique FB group, where we were to send candies, crafty goodies and a project.

She has been through some tough times, health wise, so I wanted to make her something super special. I know her favorite color is pink and like me, she loves a variety of styles, so I'm hoping vintage shabby chic is one of them. I truly hope this helps put a nice smile on her face!

I did a quick YouTube video which is posted below, I did leave out that the "a Dream" tab and the background paper with the crown, is from Echo Park's page kit "Be Mine". The pearls, lace, flowers and bling I picked up at AC Moore.

Have a great day!!!

Halloween Party Layout and Tombstones

Being that I posted some altered Halloweeny bottles, I decided to post these projects that I had made last year for a Halloween Party that had at my house. Thought these would be a perfect backdrop for the bar area in our garage which was blacked out with plastic black table covers all over the walls. What I thought was awesome and unexpected was how they stood out with the black light. Needless to say, I have now become the "Halloween Party House", but... even still... Christmas is my favorite holiday!!

Made a layout of my family and some of my sister's families that would be going to the party! I never did get a close up shot of their layouts.
Made many more tombstones and spread them out through out the garage.
A few more layouts here, before we rearranged them. Loved how some o the colors stood out.

Final setup, looked more towards realistic-like cemetery, especially when we added a ton of Autumn leaves to our garage floor.
