Fall Home Decor - Turquoise Pumpkin

Hello everyone... so happy to be back after a long over due break. Between vacations and being under the weather (still in the midst of recouping), it feels great to return to my studio, sit and have some fun. In the process of working on some fun Christmas projects, including some giveaways, so stay tuned.

With that said, the Fall season is still here and for today's project, I decided to create some "Fall" home décor. I was challenged to create my very first mood board and to share my creative process and ability to design around it...such a great and fun idea. As I enjoy this beautiful fall weather, I created a mood board based around it.

Living in Pennsylvania, I get to enjoy all the different climate changes for each season, Fall being one my favorite's. Love the crisp cool sweater weather, the smell of fresh baked pies and gorgeous scenery of the mountains. Typically I don't use turquoise in my fall décor, "not sure why" as it's a beautiful contrast and I use it in my den, with that in mind and using the mood board, I created a turquoise pumpkin.

Still incorporating the typical Fall elements, like pumpkins, rustic/distressed woods and orange candles, I thought, why not incorporate some "beach like" elements on the pumpkin that could work for some who live near the coastal beaches and/or warmer climate areas.

I used the various colors of turquoise and teal to create the distressed look of the pumpkin...I created "treasures" of  turquoise and amber crystals, gold and copper sparkly glitter, various colors of micro beads with some teal mica flakes, a"coral like" Fall leaf and the "seaweed like" leafy sprays that can easily be found near any beach.

Enjoy...

Happy New Year... Card, Tag and More!

Hello my creative friends,  I have to say it's been an amazing year working with Stacy, Deb and the Design Team. As of today though, this will be my last post for Timeless Twine and Bella Creationz. I want to thank all of the girls for making this a fun loving year!!!

Christmas will soon be here, but shortly after is New Year's Eve, which will be welcoming us into the New Year. For most of us, it's Party Time and in my case, I've been invited to one... so what better way to celebrate than to bring a wonderful personalized gift to your Hostess. I decided I would bring some Champaign, a gift bag with an "over the top" game to play and a fun shaker card.

Enjoy...

For the shaker card...
I used the "Holiday Sentiments" stamp set from Bella Creationz and from MFT the Die-namics pierced rectangle frames die. For the inside a combination gold sequins with mini micro beads and stars, some white flower soft for the snow and I embossed the background with a swirl embossing folder.

For the gift bag...
I used "Solid Black" Timeless Twine to hang the bells from the tag, from Bella Creationz I used a small tag that I covered with the gold metallic sticker sheet and a smaller tag that I heat embossed in black, for the hole I used a gold reinforcement sticker. The stamped sentiment is from the "Holiday Sentiments" stamp set. I also used a scalloped die, to cut the center of the smaller tag and added foam tape behind it.

For the final touch, I personalized the Champaign bottle with her last initial. To match the gift bag I used a gold metallic sticker sheet from Bella Creationz and  the center of the gold reinforcement stickers for the circles on the black cardstock and finally I had to add a huge metallic bow.

Looking forward to celebrating the New Year!!!

Merry Christmas Gift Box

Hello my creative friends, hope you are all enjoying a wonderful holiday season. Today I have a DT project for Cardz TV, I made this beautiful present box from MCS. I used CardzTV Stamps "Naughty or Nice" for the sentiment and from Timeless Twine the "Cherry Red" twine.

I love how beautiful this box is, the patterned paper is from G45's "A Christmas Carol", I used some red and white cardstock and a red glittery enamel dot for the bow.  You can make several of these in a snap, using any of your favorite papers. I made this one for Christmas, but this can be used for any occasion.

Enjoy...

Christmas "Merry Season" ATC

Hello my creative friends, I have a Christmas ATC " artist trading card"  that I would like to share. This was made for swap I was in and I actually made 12. I had so much fun creating this, especially because it's for Christmas, another one of my favorite holidays.

I used Tim Holtz inks, wreath die and embossing folder. I fussy cut the scroll from G45's "A Christmas Carol" paper pad, I added a Prima flower and I used the Martha Stewart punch for the branches/twigs.

"A right good time to you and yours...This fair and merry Season."

Enjoy...

Have a wonderful holiday season!!!

Happy Holidays

Hello my creative friends, I'm pleased to share with you my next DT project for Timeless Twine. I'm still feeling a bit run down from being sick, so I wanted to create a rather simple, but fun holiday card. I used "Cherry Red" Timeless Twine around the tree and star, and the "Holiday Sentiments" stamp set from Bella Creationz.

I'm not a huge sticker fan, but it comes in handy when your low on energy, so I used the two snowmen, bird and Christmas tree stickers from Echo Parks "Everybody Loves Christmas " page kit. This is from a much older kit (2010)... I thought it was time I finally put some of it to use, lol.

I used MS snowflake punch, baby blue rhinestones and the swirl embossing folder for the snow. Inked the edges and faux stitched using a white gel pen. Lastly, I built up the layers with foam tape.

Enjoy...
