Fall Home Decor - Turquoise Pumpkin

Hello everyone... so happy to be back after a long over due break. Between vacations and being under the weather (still in the midst of recouping), it feels great to return to my studio, sit and have some fun. In the process of working on some fun Christmas projects, including some giveaways, so stay tuned.

With that said, the Fall season is still here and for today's project, I decided to create some "Fall" home décor. I was challenged to create my very first mood board and to share my creative process and ability to design around it...such a great and fun idea. As I enjoy this beautiful fall weather, I created a mood board based around it.

Living in Pennsylvania, I get to enjoy all the different climate changes for each season, Fall being one my favorite's. Love the crisp cool sweater weather, the smell of fresh baked pies and gorgeous scenery of the mountains. Typically I don't use turquoise in my fall décor, "not sure why" as it's a beautiful contrast and I use it in my den, with that in mind and using the mood board, I created a turquoise pumpkin.

Still incorporating the typical Fall elements, like pumpkins, rustic/distressed woods and orange candles, I thought, why not incorporate some "beach like" elements on the pumpkin that could work for some who live near the coastal beaches and/or warmer climate areas.

I used the various colors of turquoise and teal to create the distressed look of the pumpkin...I created "treasures" of  turquoise and amber crystals, gold and copper sparkly glitter, various colors of micro beads with some teal mica flakes, a"coral like" Fall leaf and the "seaweed like" leafy sprays that can easily be found near any beach.

"So Thankful For You" Card

Hi everyone, hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Autumn season. I want to share with you a card I made as my DT project for Timeless Twine. I made this wonderful "Thankful For You" card for my husband. I used Autumn Splendor twine, punched holes to the seam of the card and added brown brads to resemble the binding on a book.

I used the Inkadinkado stamp set Filigree Fall #99403 and MCS  - Fall Border for the leaves, which unfortunately is no longer available. I added some burlap behind the leaves for more texture. I distressed and inked the edges, popped up the sentiment on foam tape and used the Wink of Stella glitter pen for some shimmer. I really love how this turned out.

I used Wink of Stella on the sentiment and the leaves.

Pumpkin Goodness in a Mason Jar

Hello there, here is my next DT project for Cardz TV. I love searching through Pinterest, especially for the holidays, in my search I found this No Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake, which is delish!!! Clicking it will take you right to her site for the recipe. These will be perfect little desserts for our Thanksgiving dinner.

I used Cardz TV stamp set "Fall Fun" for the pumpkin and the sentiment. Love that little pumpkin in this stamp set, it was so much fun to color in, using Copic markers and the Wink of Stella glitter pen. I cut out a green leaf to put behind it, added a green button with some "Olive Green" Timeless Twine. I put some orange jute ribbon on top of some ivory trim and wrapped it around a small mason jar.

These can be used with many different kinds of goodies, it's whatever your heart desires!

Sweet Harvest Mason Jar

Hi there, welcome back for another DT project for Timeless Twine. Here is a cute mason jar that's perfect for the "harvest" time of year. I used the "Autumn Splendor" twine around the lid, pretty papers from Simple Stories "Pumpkin Spice" paper pack and enamel dots.

The svg file can be found in the Silhouette store, design# 65656. The lid is meant for fabric, but I decided to use paper will have to wet the paper until it becomes soft, so it can easily bend around the lid top, gently tie it, then let it dry. Fabric is much easier, but I really wanted to use the pattern from the paper.

I put a tea light inside, but it can be filled with anything... something scented like pot pourri or something sweet to eat, like cookies!

Fall Home Decor - Acorn with Stand

Hi everyone, happy to be back with another "3d" dt project for Cardz TV. I found this awesome acorn svg file in the Silhouette store -  design# 68832, the stand I put it on I made myself from an empty ribbon spool. I used the Cardz TV stamp set "Thankful for You" and heat embossed the sentiment with Stampendous "Clear Bark" embossing powder around each edge of the acorn.

God knows I am very thankful for many things in my life, especially for my wonderful boys and husband, so the sentiment "So Thankful" was perfect. I love Fall for many reasons, it's so fresh, cozy and colorful! This acorn was just what I needed, you can take the lid off and I put a scented sachet in it, which is what I did with some "Pumpkin Spice" that I bought from AC Moore. I also tied some "Solid Orange" Timeless Twine around the stem.

The base is an empty ribbon spool...I colored it brown, I covered it with brown pattern paper, added some mica flakes and embossing powder from Stampendous, I used tissue paper to fill in between the top and bottom of the spool. I then glued some burlap ribbon around the edge for sturdiness, heat embossed it and glued the brown trim on top of that. It's a perfect fit for the acorn, which I then glued into the hole on top of the spool.

Halloween Pumpkin with Witch Hat

Hi everyone, hope you all had an amazing summer. Now that summer is almost over, it's time to start enjoying this beautiful fall weather that's approaching. For my DT project for Timeless Twine I made a Jack O' Lantern with a witches hat, it can be used to carry treats or for some home décor, I'm using it as home décor.

You can find this file at SVG Cuts, it's from the Haunted Forest kit. I had so much fun putting this together, I used the "Orange Licorice" Timeless Twine, some lace, rhinestones, black glitter and a glittery spider. I love how pretty and spooky it turned out.

Happy Harvest 3D Card

Hello everyone, glad be back on designing for Cardz TV, it was a nice little summer break we had. Today's challenge was to make a Fall 3d card. I used Thankful for You, Critter Captions and Basic Borders stamp sets. Mary has several new stamp sets, so be sure to stop by Cardz TV Stamps.

The pop out book card can be found in the Silhouette store, design# 64592 and the squirrel in the basket of acorns design# 50831. I used foam tape behind the squirrel and inked all of the edges. I also used orange glitter stickles for the sentiment "Fall' which was also popped up with foam tape as well.

Fall Banner

Hi guys, as promised I'm back with the fall banner that I made, I was going to do a YouTube video on it, but unfortunately I have way too much going on, so I just haven't had the time, sorry.

I bought a set of MDF craftwood pennants from KaiserCraft , I covered them with Authentique papers "Thankful Collection" and I used a metallic paint from DecoArt "Rich Espresso" to paint the sides.

I painted some chipboard letters with gesso, sprayed them with various fall colors of Glimmer Mist, shaded them with my finger using Archival "Coffee" ink and added some foam tape to the back.

With craft cardstock I cut smaller pennants and embossed them with a leaf embossing folder. I distressed the edges and inked them with TH "Walnut Stain" ink, I also inked the embossed leaves. I did spray them with the "Bronze" and "Guilded Gold" Glimmer Mist for a warm glimmer effect. I used bakers twine around the edge and attached it with metallic brads. Before adding them to the larger pennants, I put foam tape to the back.

Finally I used jute to hang the banner and tied a bow with raffia in between each pennant.

Happy Crafting!!!

Pumpkin Picking Box Card

Happy Fall ya'll, here is my 2nd Cardz TV Gallery DT project I made for today, it's my first box card, yay... finally!!! I made this pumpkin box card and used it as an invitation for pumpkin picking.

I live in PA, but I usually go to Alstede Farms in NJ, love going on the hay ride, as always my kids always have to pick the biggest pumpkins, then complain that they are heavy... no kidding, lol! They have a huge corn maze, which you can be easily get lost in for hours and lets not forget their warm fresh baked pies, yummy!!! If you haven't been there and your close by, it's definitely a must visit, especially around this time of year.

Onto the project...I got the cut from SVG Cuts...Autumn Box Cards "Pumpkin Patch" and I used the "Extras" for the labels...1 @ 3 inches and 2 @ 2 inches. The Cardz TV stamp sets I used are "Thankful for You",  "Ticket Talk 2" and "Good Times". The papers are from Colorbok Textured Cardstock "Natural Wonder" and Paper Studio "Natural Botanical". I added orange brads, 3 dimensional stickers "Harvest" and an arrow stamp. TH ink pads for shading...Antique Linen, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Gathered Twigs and Rusty Hinge, plus Archival inks - Coffee and Jet Black.

Please do not forget to stop by Cardz TV Gallery and Cardz TV for more inspiration from our DT members.

Hope you enjoy...

Happy Crafting!!!
