Altered Domino Book Swap

This is my first attempt at a domino book. I wanted to do something a bit different than the usual and go outside the box. I have not seen any domino books that were made horizontal and open vertical, the one's I've seen are vertical and open horizontal. I love that it looks like a little table or dresser. I made this book for Sandy (Crafty San San) from a swap on the CMB. She wanted nature, beach or woodsy and blues/browns, so I decided to go in the beach direction. I added a ton of embellishments, originally it was going to be the front of the book and just wording on the back, but when I closed it, it fell backwards, so I had to add embellies on the back of the book as well, so it would sit straight up. Hope she enjoys it!

Inside Front
"embark on an adventure and discover treasure"

 Inside Back
"journey on a scenic voyage to travel the world"
I embossed the domino's with white and gold chunky embossing powder (Stampendous), inked blue pattern paper in blue ink and added it to the top, I then used "Rock Candy" crackle paint. When the paint dried, I inked the top with silver metallic ink. I attached 2 white glitter clam shells. I had 2 silver metal clam shells that I painted in TH distress paints... Salty Ocean and Weathered Wood and added it to the top of the white shells. I also added a large silver sea shell on top of that and some blue and brown glass beads. Finally I added 2 different colored ribbons, a light blue and a medium "rope" kind of ribbon for a more beachy feel and rhinestone spacer beads for legs. Inside are 2 different contrasting papers for a blue matted look on the edges, some inking, tan embossing for sand and again blue and brown glass beads.

My First Ticket Swap

These are the tickets I made for Julia, for the ticket swap I did on the CMB. Her request was for purples, browns, yellows and greens or papers she was using for an album DCWV's "Chateau Lavender". I can only hope that she likes them.

 (Brown and Purple)
Used papers from DCWV "Mariposa" stack, cut some butterflies out, added some lavender ink to the center and attached them as well as some vintage charms to the tickets.
(Purple and Green)
Used stampendous chunky embossing powder purple/gold for the edges. Butterflies where white, they are from Heidi Swap, I used glimmer mist - Iridescent Gold, Leap Frog, Key Lime Pie and Haunted Shadow. I sprayed each mist onto a craft sheet, I dipped the edges, after wetting them into the colors so they would bleed onto the butterflies and I used a paint brush to darken the edges.
Vintage paper from the DCVW "Chateau Lavender" pack. Inked the edges with TH "Vintage Photo" Ink. I used the TH Rock Candy crackle paint to give it an old leathery look.

Baby Shower Invitation

I made these for my sister-in-law for her baby shower. She's finally having a girl, after having had 4 boys. I have a banner and party favors that I will be working on next.

Baby Shower Cupcakes

Made these along side the invitations, banner and favors. I used the Artiste cartridge for the cupcake wrapper and topper and I used Baby Steps for the baby's bib.

Baby Shower Party Favors

In keeping with the baby shower colors (purple, lavender and hints of gray for contrast) I made 40 party favor boxes, 10 of each design. Inside I will add some candy in a grey chiffon baggie and tie a ribbon with the baby's name and date.  I used the Artiste and Baby Steps cartridges.
