"Diva" Sweet 16th Birthday Card

My boys were invited to a Sweet 16 party for their friend Alyssa. I used the Paper Doll Teen Scene Cartridge and the papers from Paper Studio "Ooh! La! La! " paper stack. I also used black glitter paper for the card base, some pink distress glitter for the crown and some bling.

"Believe in Christmas" Card

Here is a somewhat vintage card I made, this time using some of the traditional red and green colors. I love the cozy and rustic feeling of the card, makes me want to sit by the fire with a nice cup of hot chocolate!

Industrial Clock

Here is another project I made using some techniques from Tim Holtz CC102 class for day 1. I actually made this as a gift that I will be giving my son for his 26th birthday, he had requested I make him a clock a while back, so finally here it is. Hoping he enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it, the eroded metallic and industrial techniques were my "faves" from Tim's classes that day.

"Merry Christmas" Card

Here is yet another card I made using some techniques that I learned in class for Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 102. Even though this is a Christmas card, I didn't go with the usual red and green, instead I went with a nice wintery mix of the blue, white and silver that go so well together. I also created the background on Tim Holtz water color paper which gave it an awesome texture.

I used the Ranger Foil Cardstock for the base of the card

"Enjoy the Journey" Card

I just want to share with you that I took a couple of Tim Hlotz Creative Chemistry classes and learned so many awesome techniques, looking forward to sharing all of those with you as soon as I can. Tim Holtz has so many products out there that make it so easy to create pretty much anything your heart desires, definitely challenges me to think outside the box and/or out of my comfort zone. This is a card I made using several techniques, but my favorite is the tarnished silver technique, but using brass instead and I love how it turned out.

Halloween Altered Paintbrush

This is my take on an altered paintbrush that was originally made for me from a previous swap that was sent to me this past July, "Return Swap by Kelley Rooks", please check it out. Her take was more in a grunge/steampunk style, which I absolutely loved. She had also made the handle portion of the paintbrush for me to alter and sent it along with the swap. So being that Halloween is coming up, I decided to do a Halloween version of the paintbrush, I can only hope she is happy with it. Thank you Kelley, I had a lot of fun making it.

My twin boys got a kick of some of the Halloween embellishments (the haunted tree and skull), so I had them each add one to a tag as part of their contribution... at 14, I'll take what I can get, even if it's 5 minutes of their time, lol!!

Nick added the haunted tree!

Drew added the white skull!

Shabby Chic Altered Frame

This piece was made for Kathy (heaven) on the CMB. She was in the die-cut swap that I was in, as shown previously, but her partner flaked and she never received her die-cuts from the swap. So me and 2 other members, Gwen and JeanP, decided to fill in as Angels and each make her a project.  I decided to do a die-cut frame (which is one of the things she wanted) from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge and I added a die-cut pocket watch from TH. She also requested Shabby Chic. Hope she enjoys it.

Die-cut swap from Cindy (Caffinee)

These are the die-cuts Cindy sent to me from the swap on the CMB, I asked for Vintage Travel, she made an Eifel Tower tag and triptych, hot air balloon and extras. I love how I can connect the triptych into a triangular display, super neat idea!!

Vintage Hollywood - Triptych

Hi everyone, here is the final piece of the three part die-cut swap I made for Cindy. I decided to make a Vintage Triptych. I used TH cabinet die and the insert, added split rings, modeling paste and various glimmer mists for the background and white flowers.

I had a bunch of grunge board swirls that had silver glitter, so I painted it with the copper metallic paint and added some resin green roses to it. I also added some picture hangers behind it, incase she decides she wants to hang it on the wall.

Have a great day!!!

Vintage Hollywood - Embellishment Wall Hanging

Here is another part of the 3 item swap for Cindy. Again, staying within the browns, blacks and neutral's she wanted, I created this for an embellishment, which was the vanity & seat and put it on a black metal plaque that I had gotten at Michaels for $1. I cut many, many layers and pop dot them for a 3-d effect, added a pic of Marilyn behind some clam shell packaging from a new cricut cartridge, to give the illusion that she is looking into the mirror.

Vintage Hollywood - Tag

Another swap I was in on the CMB, this one had you had to make 3 die cut items, my partner Cindy wanted a tag, embellishment and a triptych. She wanted browns and blacks, pretty much dark and neutral colors. So here is the tag...

Altered Item Swap

Made this candle box for my partner Lori on the CMB swap. I had a nested three box set sitting around for a while, so I decided to use one of them for this swap. She wanted something nautical, but it did not have to be the typical, blue, white and red.

Return Double Swap for an Altered Project and Domino Book given to Me

I joined this double swap on the CMB, one was an altered item and the other was an altered domino book.  The domino book I made is on a previous post. I want to thank both of my partners on the swap, Lori (Kazalah) for the altered canvas and Sandy (Crafty San San) for the domino book, you did wonderful job. I have yet to complete Lori's altered item, which will be complete in the next couple of days.

Altered Domino Book Swap

This is my first attempt at a domino book. I wanted to do something a bit different than the usual and go outside the box. I have not seen any domino books that were made horizontal and open vertical, the one's I've seen are vertical and open horizontal. I love that it looks like a little table or dresser. I made this book for Sandy (Crafty San San) from a swap on the CMB. She wanted nature, beach or woodsy and blues/browns, so I decided to go in the beach direction. I added a ton of embellishments, originally it was going to be the front of the book and just wording on the back, but when I closed it, it fell backwards, so I had to add embellies on the back of the book as well, so it would sit straight up. Hope she enjoys it!

 Inside Back

I embossed the domino's with white and gold chunky embossing powder (Stampendous), inked blue pattern paper in blue ink and added it to the top, I then used "Rock Candy" crackle paint. When the paint dried, I inked the top with silver metallic ink. I attached 2 white glitter clam shells. I had 2 silver metal clam shells that I painted in TH distress paints... Salty Ocean and Weathered Wood and added it to the top of the white shells. I also added a large silver sea shell on top of that and some blue and brown glass beads. Finally I added 2 different colored ribbons, a light blue and a medium "rope" kind of ribbon for a more beachy feel and rhinestone spacer beads for legs. Inside are 2 different contrasting papers for a blue matted look on the edges, some inking, tan embossing for sand and again blue and brown glass beads.
